Autumn 2020 Edition
There are again positive signs we receive – seven months after the introduction of Corona-related constraints – from the Viennese office market. While initially there were fears to lose a complete quarter in rents, we, together with the Vienna Research Forum (VRF), now expect only a slight decrease compared with the previous year.
The reasons for this are three major rents in the submarket Prater/Lassallestraße, which might “save” this year. Our current forecast, which is still cautious due to Corona, now sees a total net take-up of approximately 180,000 sqm for this year.
